Enagic® Glossary: Every Acronym and Term Explained
By Aimee Q Devlin · April 2026
Enagic® uses dozens of acronyms, abbreviations, and internal terms that new distributors encounter constantly but rarely have explained in one place. This glossary covers every term you'll encounter—from DSP (Distributor Support Portal) and EWS (Enagic Web System) to SP (Special Point), E8PA (Enagic 8 Point Prosperity Association), Tokurei, FA0 (Free Agent), and more—in plain English with context for how each one affects your business.
Why this glossary exists
Enagic® has been operating since 1974. Over five decades, the company has accumulated a vocabulary that insiders understand intuitively but new distributors find bewildering. Your sponsor might say “make sure your SP is active before the sale processes” and assume you know what that means. If you don't, you might lose $81 per point on every commission.
This glossary is a reference you can bookmark and return to whenever you encounter a term you're not sure about.
A
Applicant. The person purchasing the Enagic® product and becoming a distributor. Their name on the application form must match their government-issued ID exactly. Only one person can be listed as the Applicant—not two (e.g., husband and wife).
Alternate Payer.A person paying for the product on behalf of the Applicant. Requires a separate Alternate Payer Form. Common when a spouse's credit card is used or a family member is gifting the purchase.
Anespa DX.Enagic®'s mineral ion water spa system for the shower/bath. Receives an 8-point commission, similar to the K8.
C
Corporate Distributor. An Enagic® distributorship held by a legal business entity—such as an LLC, corporation, trust, or other registered company—rather than an individual person. The business entity is listed as the Applicant on the paperwork. Additional documentation is required, including Articles of Incorporation or equivalent business registration documents. Commissions and tax reporting (e.g. 1099 in the US) are issued to the business entity. Corporate distributorships have specific requirements that vary by country—confirm with your local Enagic® office before submitting.
D
D0 (Direct Sales 0 / Partial Status). A distributor activation status triggered when a distributor's last direct sale was more than 3 months ago but less than 6 months ago, and they have no active Ukon Autoship program. At D0 status, the distributor receives 50% of the 8-point commission (calculated without SP), and 50% of any incentives, filter commissions, and Ukon commissions. Can be restored to SP status by making a direct sale or starting a Ukon Autoship. Note: effective July 1, 2026, the D0 threshold was moved from 6 months to 3 months—distributors now reach D0 sooner than under the previous policy.
D1 (Direct Sales 1 / Normal Status). A distributor activation status that existed prior to July 1, 2026. D1 covered the window between 90 days and 6 months after the last direct sale—a period where the distributor received 100% of the 8-point commission (without the SP bonus) but no reduction in commission rate. D1 was removed from the Enagic® status classification effective July 1, 2026. Under the new policy, D0 now begins at 3 months, meaning the full-commission-without-SP-bonus middle tier no longer exists. Distributors who previously would have been D1 now move directly from SP to D0. Full confirmation will be shared once Enagic® policy updates are shared in July 2026.
DA (Distributor Agreement / Distributor Application). The primary application form that establishes a new distributor's account with Enagic®. Sometimes called the “application” or “app form.”
DGS (Distributor Genealogy System).Enagic®'s colour-coded diagrammatic of your downline inside the Enagic® Distributor Backoffice. It shows all of the people you've personally enrolled, and who they have enrolled. If you have multiple positions, you can view them individually to get a bird's eye view of each position in your business.
Direct Purchaser. A customer who purchases an Enagic® product for personal use without the intent to become an active distributor. They receive a distributor ID and position in the genealogy, but their primary motivation is the product rather than the business opportunity.
DSP (Distributor Support Portal). Enagic®'s online portal at information.enagic.com. Provides access to news and articles, genealogy reports, sales tracking, the Enagic® Store, commission breakdowns, event archives, and training materials. Separate from the EWS.
DSS (Distributor Support System).Enagic®'s online ordering system that allows sponsors to send invitation emails to prospects, enabling them to complete their purchase online without manual paperwork in some cases.
E
E8PA (Enagic 8-Point Prosperity Association).Enagic®'s community membership programme available to all Enagic® distributors. Points are accumulated by making product sales and downline activity. As an E8PA member, you can purchase Anespa DX, Super 501, and Ukon DD at discounted prices, and contribute a 10% donation of E-points as a partial down payment toward a Kangen Water™ machine purchase by anyone in your entire downline. Membership tiers: Black ($8,000 USD), Platinum ($6,000 USD), Gold ($6,000 USD), Silver ($2,000 USD), and Bronze ($1,000 USD)—each representing “Metaphysical Health,” one of Enagic®'s philosophies of True Health.
E-Friends.Enagic®'s official monthly digital magazine for distributors. Features product updates, distributor success stories, company news, health and wellness content, and training highlights. The full archive is stored within the EWS back office.
Educational Allowance / Educational Bonus / 6A Educational Bonus. A commission paid to 6A distributors on sales that occur below their 8-point range—specifically on sales under any 6A in their downline, up to three levels of 6As deep. Paid daily.
emGuarde™. Enagic®'s patented electromagnetic field (EMF) protection device, using layered harmonic frequencies to suppress electromagnetic noise radiation between 3MHz and 1000MHz. CE/FCC/RoHS certified. Ships from the Australian, Singapore, or Malaysian office depending on the customer's location. Two models exist: the original stationary EM001 and the new emGuarde Portable (EM002-K), announced at the 52nd Anniversary Convention in June 2026. Full breakdown: emGuarde Portable Explained.
Two models:
- emGuarde EM001 (Original): Plug-in only (USB power adapter, 5V). Stationary device. Coverage ~4m radius (8m diameter). Weight ~430g. Commission $98/point. Being discontinued globally over time as the Portable takes over.
- emGuarde Portable (EM002-K): Built-in 5000mAh rechargeable battery—fully portable. Coverage ~1.5m radius (3m diameter—personal protection zone). Weight 175g. USB-C with fast charging. Battery life 72 hours. Commission $150/point. Sold as a bundle of 2 units (counts as 1 group sale). US launch June 2026; global rollout to follow. Water product rule applies—commissions reduced if distributor doesn't own a water machine.
Enroller. An advanced Enagic® team placement strategy. When using the Enroller form, the sale can be placed under distributor A (Sponsor), while counting as the direct sale of distributor B (Enroller). This transfers the SP status to distributor B, the Enroller. A separate Sponsor/Enroller form is required.
EOS (Enagic Online Store).Enagic®'s official online shop for purchasing products and accessories directly, available 24/7. The EOS is designed for quick and convenient ordering for Enagic®'s full range of water systems, accessories, and promotions. In 2026, Enagic® began moving toward requesting distributors to process orders through the EOS rather than via traditional manual paperwork—though as of the time of writing, this requirement is not yet universally enforced across all markets. The EOS is separate from the DSP (genealogy and commission data) and the EWS (marketing and CRM). Worth monitoring as Enagic®'s ordering process continues to evolve. The EOS ordering process involves choosing a product, sending a prospect email to your potential customer, and guiding them through the purchase process, which involves multiple steps. At this stage, it's a single product process without a cart. For many online-focused distributors, it doesn't replace the speed, accuracy, and close rate of sending paperwork—even though that may sound counterintuitive.
EPS (E-Point Solution).Enagic®'s web-based dashboard for E8PA members to check their E-Points status online. Displays details of each E-Point earned and consumed, allows members to manage their E8PA status, view their points history, and apply accumulated points toward business expenses such as product maintenance or travel.
EWS (Enagic Web System). The official worldwide marketing and business management platform for Enagic® distributors, available at enagicwebsystem.com. Provides a full suite of compliant tools including professional websites, customisable landing pages and sales funnels, CRM contact management, email marketing with AI-assisted copywriting, automated webinars, video hosting, social media scheduling, and the Enagic Mobi App for iOS and Android. EWS also hosts country-specific distributor forms and a tax calculator (currently supporting US, Canada, and Europe).
EWS membership tiers:
- Basic ($0/month): Mobile App and Team Viewer only
- Starter ($30/month): 2 add-ons, 250 contacts, 2 landing pages, 2 AutoWebinars, contact manager, email, online ordering, domain manager, video library
- Distributor ($75/month): 5 add-ons, 2,500 contacts, 5 landing pages, 5 AutoWebinars, ECO website with SSL/HTTPS, priority support
- Leader ($99/month, was $180): Unlimited add-ons, 25,000 contacts, unlimited landing pages and AutoWebinars, TeamShare, Team Manager, Team Site, exclusive training
Marketed as replacing $470–$1,423/month in standalone tools. The DSP is a separate, no-cost Enagic® system for genealogy reports, commission statements, and order tracking—distinct from EWS.
F
F Status.A distributor activation status introduced by Enagic® effective July 1, 2026. F Status is triggered after a distributor has been at D0 for an additional 3 months—meaning a total of 6 months have passed since their last direct sale with no active Ukon Autoship. The July 2026 policy update from Enagic® does not specify the commission rate at F Status, or whether F Status replaces FA0 entirely. The precise commission implications of F Status—and its relationship to the previous FA0 classification—are not yet confirmed. Distributors are advised to refer to the latest Enagic® Policy & Procedures for current terms.
FA0 (Free Agent Zero / Inactive Status). Previously the terminal inactive distributor status, triggered when a distributor had not made a direct sale in over 1 year and had no active Ukon Autoship program. At FA0 status, all commissions—including incentives, filter commissions, and Ukon commissions—were zero. Any distributor who had been FA0 for more than 2 years could reactivate their business in a new position without regard to their former group, automatically cancelling their former distributorship. Reactivation required the FA0 New Registration Form. Enagic® could in its sole discretion reassign any FA0 distributorship to another distributor in good standing. Note: the July 1, 2026 policy update introduced F Status (triggered at 6 months) but does not mention FA0. Whether FA0 still exists as a separate tier for distributors inactive for more than 1–2 years, or has been replaced by F Status, has not been confirmed. Check the latest Enagic® Policy & Procedures for current classification.
Filter Commission. Commission earned when customers reorder replacement filters for their Enagic® machines. Paid per point based on distributor status. Accumulates until reaching $250 USD before payout. A form of residual income.
G
GFS (Global Financial Support). The willable legacy income component of Enagic®'s compensation plan, starting at 6A2-3. Monthly income that continues for life and can be transferred to a designated beneficiary. Ranges from $5,000+/month (6A2-3) to $80,000+/month (6A2-8). Monthly qualifications apply.
GPS (Global Profit Sharing).A monthly share of Enagic®'s global profits, available starting at 6A2-3. The amount increases with each tier advancement.
Group Sales.Sales made by distributors in your downline. Combined with your direct sales, group sales determine your rank advancement. Also called “indirect sales.”
K
K8 (Leveluk K8).Enagic®'s flagship 8-plate water ioniser. The most commonly sold machine and the reference point for most compensation examples. US base price: $5,890 as of 2025.
Kangen Beauté®. Enagic®'s luxury facial skincare line, launched at the 52nd Anniversary Global Convention on 21 June 2026. Part of the Ukon program—not a standalone product line. The launch collection (Timeless Radiance Collection) includes three products: First Light Essence (Step 1), Vital Rich Cream (Step 2), and Crystal Ampoule Cream (Step 3), sold as a set. Available in two subscription options: Beauté DD and Beauté Sigma. To earn commissions on Beauté® sales, you must have an active Ukon account; purchasing Beauté DD or Sigma itself activates that status. Phase 1 launched in the United States only (June 2026); Canada and LATAM follow in December 2026. Full breakdown: Kangen Beauté Explained.
Kangen Beauté DD. The subscription version of Kangen Beauté®. $910 USD + tax/shipping per order. 2 sets of the Timeless Radiance Collection every 4 months. $40 per commission point. Counts as 3:1 for awards and incentive calculations. Permanent account after 1 year of renewals. E8PA $100 discount applies. SKU 2030.
Kangen Beauté Sigma. The annual bulk version of Kangen Beauté®. $2,660 USD + tax/shipping per order. 6 sets of the Timeless Radiance Collection annually. $115 per commission point. Counts as 1:1 for awards and incentive calculations. Immediate permanent account upon purchase. No E8PA discount. SKU 2054.
Kangen Water®.Enagic®'s trademarked name for the ionised alkaline water produced by their machines. The word “Kangen” (還元) means “return to origin” in Japanese, and is produced through electrolysis—separating water into alkaline and acidic streams using platinum-coated titanium plates.
Kangen Water® has multiple pH levels with different intended uses:
- pH 8.5–9.5: Drinking water. Marketed as having antioxidant properties due to negative ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential).
- pH 7.0: Neutral water. Used for taking medication or for babies.
- pH 6.0: Beauty water (slightly acidic). Used for skin toning and hair care.
- pH 2.5: Strong acidic water. Used as a sanitiser and disinfectant.
- pH 11.5: Strong Kangen Water. Used for cleaning, removing pesticides from produce, and food preparation.
Enagic®'s machines produce all pH levels from a single unit. Not to be confused with standard bottled alkaline water—the ionisation process and negative ORP are what Enagic® considers the key differentiators. Note: health claims associated with Kangen Water® are governed by Enagic®'s Policies and Procedures, which restrict what distributors can say in marketing.
M
Mobi (Enagic Mobi).Enagic®'s mobile app, available on iOS and Android through the EWS platform. Provides full platform access on mobile including presentations, contact management, email, analytics, and content sharing.
O
Open Volume.Sales in your organisation that don't have another 6A between you and the sale. Open volume affects 6A Group Sales Awards and Monthly Sales Incentives.
P
P&P (Policies and Procedures).Enagic®'s distributor policies document. Must be signed by every new Applicant as part of the paperwork. Governs what distributors can and cannot say in marketing, income claims, and business conduct.
Personal Distributor. An Enagic® distributorship held by an individual person, as opposed to a business entity. This is the standard distributorship type. The individual's legal name appears on the Distributor Agreement and all related paperwork. Only one person can be listed as the Applicant—joint applications (e.g. husband and wife together) are not permitted.
Product Placement. The order in which products are listed on the application form. Affects which distributor receives commission points for each product in a multi-product order. Critical to understand for sponsors processing orders.
R
Return Policy.Enagic®'s 30-day return policy. Must be signed separately by the Applicant as part of the paperwork. A standalone document—not combined with other forms.
S
Sales Report. A report available in the DSP/EWS that shows your personal sales activity, including direct sales, group sales, and commission earnings. Can typically be filtered by date range and exported as PDF or CSV.
SD501.Enagic®'s 5-plate water ioniser. A more affordable entry point than the K8. Multiple variants exist (SD501 Platinum, SD501U).
Six Pack.An informal term used within some Enagic® teams to describe an order of six products purchased together. The specific products in a “Six Pack” vary by team and strategy, but commonly include a combination of machines, Ukon subscriptions, and accessories designed to maximise rank advancement, commission structure, and product benefits simultaneously. Not an official Enagic® term. Confirm the preferred configuration with your upline.
SP (Special Point / Active Status). The highest distributor activation status. At SP status, the distributor receives 100% of the 8-point commission plus the Special Point Bonus ($81/point on K8), and 100% of all incentives, filter commissions, and Ukon commissions. To maintain SP status: make one direct sale within the first 3 months OR maintain an active Ukon DD or Ukon Sigma Autoship program. SP status can be restored from a lower status (D0 or F) immediately upon making a direct sale or activating a Ukon Autoship.
Distributor activation status hierarchy (effective July 1, 2026):
- SP — first 3 months after direct sale, or active Ukon Autoship — 100% commission + SP Bonus
- D0 — 3 to 6 months after direct sale, no Autoship — 50% commission, no SP Bonus
- F — after 6 months from direct sale, no Autoship — commission terms not yet confirmed; refer to latest Enagic® P&P
Pre-July 2026 hierarchy for reference: SP (0–90 days) → D1 (90 days–6 months, full commission, no SP Bonus) → D0 (6 months–1 year, 50% commission) → FA0 (1+ year, 0% commission). D1 was removed and D0 was moved earlier in the July 2026 update. The relationship between new F Status and old FA0 is not yet confirmed.
Sponsor. The existing distributor under whom a new Applicant is placed in the genealogy. The Sponsor's distributor ID appears on the application form and determines the commission flow.
T
THL (True Health Lifestyle / True Health Ventures).A team platform built inside the EWS by founders Robert Gridelli and Daniel Dimacale. Positioned as the only official Enagic®-compliant growth system, THL provides a structured 5-phase business system: Attract (AutoWebinar → Landing Page), Nurture (Email Drip → Entrepreneur Launch System with 4 levels of public training), Convert (Purchase → EWS Membership → Join Team), Train (5 mastery tracks: Business Launch, Product Mastery, Conversion Mastery, Growth Mastery, and Leadership & Duplication), and Duplicate (team repeats the system). Requires an EWS account. Available only to Enagic® distributors.
Tokurei. A unique Enagic® programme that allows individuals to start their business without an initial product purchase. The Tokurei agreement establishes distributorship with the intent to purchase later. Availability and terms vary by country.
Trifecta. An informal term for purchasing three Enagic® products together—typically a K8, Anespa DX, and Ukon—to maximise both product benefits and compensation structure.
U
Ukon.Enagic®'s beyond organic Japanese turmeric supplement. Available as Ukon DD (subscription, renewed every 4 months, counts at 3:1 ratio for incentive calculations) and Ukon Sigma (one-year supply, counts as 1 sale, maintains SP for 1 year).
Ukon DD. The subscription version of Ukon. $40 per point commission. Renewed automatically every 4 months. Counts at a 3:1 ratio for incentive calculations. Maintains SP status for 4 months per renewal.
Ukon Sigma. The one-year supply version of Ukon. $115 per point commission. Counts as 1 sale. Maintains SP status for 1 year.
Ukon Strategy. An unofficial distributor technique—not an Enagic®-endorsed strategy—that allows a distributor to build and own multiple positions simultaneously, accelerating advancement toward 6A2 and beyond. Works by purchasing a Ukon DD or Ukon Sigma subscription under a second (or third) distributor position, maintaining SP status on that position and creating a separate leg in the genealogy. Common configurations include holding positions at 2A and 4A, or 4A and 6A simultaneously. The specific mechanics vary between teams—always confirm the approach with your upline before implementing.
W
W-8BEN. US tax form for international distributors (non-US persons) who earn commissions from US-originated sales. Required instead of the W-9 for non-US tax residents.
W-9.US tax form required for all US-based distributors. Provides Enagic® with the distributor's Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN or EIN) for 1099 reporting.
Numbers and Ranks
1A through 6A. Distributor ranks based on accumulated sales volume. 1A = 1–2 direct sales, 2A = 3–10 total, 3A = 11–20, 4A = 21–50, 5A = 51–100, 6A = 101+. Once achieved, ranks are permanent—there is no de-ranking.
6A2 through 6A2-8. Advanced ranks achieved by developing 6A leaders in your downline. 6A2 = two direct 6As. 6A2-2 = two direct 6A2s. The pattern continues through 6A2-8. Each advancement requires your direct leaders to have reached the level below yours.
6A Educational Bonus. See Educational Allowance / Educational Bonus above. A commission paid to 6A distributors on sales below their 8-point range, up to three levels of 6As deep. Paid daily.
6A Group Sales. Both a report and an award structure for 6A+ distributors. The 6A Group Sales Report (available in the DSP) shows Daily Sales, Total Group Sales, and Individual Reports, filterable by rank and downloadable as PDF or CSV. The 6A Group Sales Award is a monthly payment based on your open volume and direct sales activity, ranging from $200 to $4,000, paid for six months after reaching 6A.
8-Point Commission. Enagic®'s patented commission structure. Every sale distributes 8 points of commission. The seller earns points equal to their rank; remaining points flow upward to upline distributors until all 8 points are distributed. Paid daily.
Understanding the terminology is the first step. Having a system that handles the complexity is the next.
